The New York Knicks begin the search for a new coach

Reportedly, Leon Rose intends to interview Mike Woodson and Mark Jackson, the former Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves coach, Tom Thibodeau, considered the favorite to be the first rental Rose.

Woodson was the manager of the Knicks in 2012-13, leading the team to 54 wins and one win in the playoff series. That win is the lonely post season series that the Knicks have won since 2000.

Rose, a former agent who represented Allen Iverson and LeBron James, was named Knicks president on March 2.

The Knicks will learn their position in the NBA 2020 Draft, scheduled for October 15th, when the Draft Lottery will take place on August 25th.

One of the eight teams left out of the game in the NBA next month, the Knicks are looking for a fortuitous rebound of the ping-pong balls after settling for general choice no. 3 in 2019.

Last year, the Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Phoenix Suns all entered the lottery with a 14% chance of winning the first choice. Instead, the New Orleans Pelicans (# 1) and Memphis Grizzlies (# 2) skipped the line and were able to select Zion Williamson and Ja Morant.
