The Knicks evaluate several profiles to replace injury center Mitchell Robinson

One of the areas where the Knicks currently need help is the central location. The Knicks recently lost Mitchell Robinson for the remainder of the 2020-21 NBA season after sustaining a fractured right foot in the first quarter of their game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Although they still have Nerlens Noel and Taj Gibson on their roster, the Knicks would need to add another big man to temporarily fill the hole Robinson left in their frontcourt.

Pete Botte of the New York Post has suggested that the Knicks may be looking for “low-key options” to address their main frontcourt problem. After giving up on Terrance Ferguson and Vincent Poirier, the Knicks created two bullet points to sign free agents from the buyout market.

One of the centers rumored to be on the Knicks radar is Norvel Pelle. In addition to Pelle, other great men available that Botte mentioned in his article include Dewayne Dedmon, John Henson, Jordan Bell, Ian Mahinmi, Thon Maker, Kyle O’Quinn, and DeMarcus Cousins.
