The Knicks are favorites to land All-Star Guards this summer

It might seem like the New York Knicks finally have their long-awaited franchise point guard in tow in Jalen Brunson, but that’s not to say they won’t continue to bolster the position should top-level talent become available.

At least the franchise boasts the best odds (+200) of becoming the next employer of legendary point guard Russell Westbrook should he leave the Los Angeles Clippers in this low season.

After having a midseason resurgence following his trade from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Utah Jazz, followed by his subsequent release, the nine-time All-Star is set to become a free agent.

While all the signs are that Los Angeles wants him to return, recent rumors suggest they’ll seek him out for a “hometown discount,” which may prompt him to seek the proverbial greener options.

The Knicks could offer far more than the cash-strapped Clips, even with just their $12 million non-taxpayer exception.
