The Knicks are expected to trade for Isaiah Stewart

With New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson set to miss the remainder of the 2023-24 season, the Knicks are very vulnerable on the front line.

Julius Randle can only do so much. Isaiah Hartenstein rebounded well but has his limitations. Taj Gibson can step in for a few minutes, but that’s not a good long-term plan.

One player the Knicks should inquire about is Detroit Pistons center Isaiah Stewart. Numerous teams around the league have been reported to covet the 22-year-old. In July, the Pistons rewarded Stewart with a four-year, $64 million contract extension.

This has good reason, as there is a lot to like about the man they call beef stew. This season he is averaging 10.1 points and seven rebounds while playing 30 minutes per game.
