RJ Barrett has already proven himself to be a volume scorer in the NBA. The Knicks hope he can solidify the big three contenders along with Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson.
He is under contract through 2026-27, offering other teams looking for a dynamic scoring winger long-term insurance.
Barrett has the potential to become a 25-point-per-game scorer in the league. Several other forwards have recently taken the next step after the trade, including Brooklyn Nets star Mikal Bridges, Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma and Utah Jazz Most Improved Player of the Year Lauri Markkanen.
The Knicks will be looking for a booming return on their investment, but Barrett offers the team’s most trade value.
