The Knicks’ next trade could determine how far the club can go in the postseason.
They are looking for a secondary ball handler off the bench. They may also be looking for a backup big man (more on that later).
Quentin Grimes’ name is in the middle of all this.
The Knicks have fielded calls from Grimes as the deadline approaches.
Grimes said Thursday night that he is aware of the trade talks, but that they do not affect his approach to the game.
“I’ve been involved in trade rumors since my rookie year. So I just try to come in every day, do my job, be professional,” Grimes said in an interview with SNY after scoring 19 points against Denver. “Every time I step on the pitch, I give 100%. Word will spread. I step on the pitch and try to do everything I can to help this team win.”
The Hawks, Wizards, and Jazz are among the teams interested in Grimes.
