Obi Toppin speaks great of the Knicks

Obi Toppin is looking forward to hearing his name being called into the 2020 NBA Draft next week. While Toppin isn’t in the top three favorites in most mock drafts, it would be shocking to see him drop past the top ten.

Recently, DraftExpress’s Jonathan Givony revealed that the New York Knicks are watching Toppin in the first round. Unfortunately for them, they possess eighth pick, which many believe won’t be tall enough to grab Toppin.

However, if he falls, it is a lock the Knicks will not hesitate to bring him home to New York State.

New York may not be confident enough to believe that Toppin will fall into their rounds at the time of pick eight. Just in case, though, the Knicks did their due diligence and interviewed the Dayton product, which did well according to Toppin.

“I had an interview with,” Toppin said this week. “It went very well – they have a great organization. We were just talking and. . . It would be nice to go home but there are many other teams that are ahead of them who are also great. I’ve talked to a couple of different teams and we’re just waiting for the day to be drafted. “
