The New York Knicks have hired Kenny Payne, associate head coach at the University of Kentucky, as the first assistant on staff to new manager Tom Thibodeau.
“I am thrilled that Kenny has joined my staff as an assistant manager. He has an amazing ability to build relationships with players and improve their skills,” Thibodeau said in the team statement. “He knows what it takes to win and he learned from one of the best coaches in John Calipari. Kenny will be an amazing addition to our organization.”
