Mike Woodson could return with the New York Knicks in one way or another

We don’t know if Mike Woodson will eventually be the Knicks’ next Head Coach, but in any case, Woodson will return to New York. Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News reported Friday that Woodson, who officially interviewed for the vacancy as head of the team this week, could eventually be hired as assistant Knicks if he doesn’t eventually get the job.

Woodson, who is currently assistant coach for the Los Clippers, coached the Knicks from 2012 to 2014, going 109-79 (.580) with two playoff appearances. The team hasn’t had a winning season since it separated from Woodson.
