Kristaps Porzingis’ return to Garden on Friday will not be as loud as in 2019 with only 10% capacity allowed during this pandemic season.

The Latvian is still seen as a villain and will no doubt receive more mockery than applause.

Ironically, Porzingis, traded by the Knicks 26 months ago, says he’s been greeted differently on the streets of Manhattan when he visits him, even though he has given up on his apartment in Midtown.

Porzingis says that, in a way, he misses being a Knick.

“Yes,” Porzingis said. “I miss the city. I miss this place. Many good memories. Every time I go back, it’s special. Many people here still recognize me and show me love and support. It’s always nice to come back”.
