After the Knicks defeat to Jazz on Tuesday in Utah, Mitchell Robinson tweeted: “One day they’ll let me play.” Robinson averages 29.6 minutes per game and has been able to avoid trouble for most of the year so far, so it would appear that the tweet was directed at his role in the offense.
The tweet was quickly deleted and Thibodeau said he was unaware of any problems Robinson might be having.
“I don’t really pay attention to that stuff,” he said after rehearsing Thursday on Zoom. “And I’ve never been a coach through media, social media or anything else. My conversations with him never come out”.
