Knicks, the fight after Game 4 didn’t impact the team

The Knicks now head to Miami in great shape. Much better than when they left South Florida after Game 4.

After Monday’s Game 4 loss, the Knick players and coaches got into a heated verbal confrontation in the visitors’ locker room. It involved airing frustrations after a loss that put their season on life support.

But the verbal squabble didn’t appear to have impacted the team on Wednesday night. They beat a tough Miami team to extend their season for at least one more game. That was Brunson’s goal shortly after Game 5.

“Nothing really to celebrate,” he said after the win. “Obviously we won, let’s see another day. That’s great, but we have to go get one over there.
