Knicks Rumors, Cole Anthony is motivated to thrive in the NBA

Cole Anthony played for Terrance “Munch” Williams and the PSA Cardinals throughout his high school career. Anthony isn’t the first NBA player to adapt to the Williams schedule – and he won’t be the last.

Six players from the PSA program have been enrolled in recent years. So Williams has an informed perspective when it comes to preparing players who move to the NBA.

And he believes Anthony will thrive in the league, regardless of where he was drafted.

“It’s going to be great, because if you think about the kids fighting in the NBA, you know what their ‘why’ is,” said Williams, executive director of ProScholars Athletics since 2008.

“A lot of kids telling you their why is’ I want to help my mom get out of the hood. I want to help my family be safe. When I have this money, it should evaporate all the problems we’ve had as a unit. ‘So their “why” is “I can (at the NBA) for the money”. And that’s not right or wrong.

“But because (Cole) has always been financially stable, his’ why ‘has always been,’ I want to play basketball at the highest level against what people consider the best level of competition.

“His motive is competition and he will always find competition in the NBA.”

It is difficult to gauge where Anthony will end up on November 18th.
