While there are players who are likely to ask for higher prizes and have more gasoline in their tanks, one of the most intriguing forwards on the market for Knicks fans is Carmelo Anthony.
Although he said he hopes to return to Portland, it’s possible New York will become a landing point with his connection with Leon Rose and perhaps as an addition if the team acquires his friend Chris Paul.
For Anthony to join the Knicks again, he would need a clear understanding of his role as a veteran leader who can provide the shot along the wing. He is no longer a go-to scorer and should send off to younger players. Of course, if he were to come alongside Chris Paul, the dynamic changes a bit.
