Knicks: Rivers, Quickley and Robinson lead New York to victory over Pacers

Early in the second quarter, Austin Rivers went for the basket and made a nice layup high off the glass, but Rivers seemed to hit his head on the uppercut on the way down. The Knicks called timeout to check Rivers, but the point guard said he was fine and stayed in the game.

Rivers, who would have won at the end of the game, ended his evening with 15 points in 17 minutes.

Midway through the second quarter, the Pacers switched to a zone defense, which gave them bouts against the Raptors earlier this week. But Immanuel Quickley, in his first game recovering from an injury, doesn’t seem to care, as he scored seven points in the first eight minutes, including three from the right wing.

In the middle, Robinson led the Knicks with 12 points (already a season high for him) while Barrett reached him in double figures with 10 points on a 4-for-8 shot. The Pacers led 51-50 at half-time.
