Knicks, Randle: “I was sure of our victory”

The Knicks were going through the first two and a half quarters of Sunday night’s game against the Toronto Raptors at Madison Square Garden, going up to double figures and staying there.

But like any game in this league, things can change in the blink of an eye.

The Raptors were back roaring, taking a four-point lead at the end of the fourth, after the Knicks were leading 18 earlier in the third.

However, the Knicks remained calm, quiet and collected, and returned to a good stretch of basketball. One good enough to guarantee them a 102-96 win, something Julius Randle has never had doubts about.

“We’ve been through tough times, we’ve had tough matches, tough breaks, close calls all season where we’ve been fighting in close matches and they haven’t gone our way, so it’s great to mentally overcome that hump,” Randle said.

“Even when we were down … I felt like we were going to win the game. It was just time to get over that hump and we did it.”
