The New York Knicks, if they manage to carry out this trade, hope to be the beneficiaries of his talent. Featuring an ideal 6 foot 3 point guard fit, Holiday is a perfect 3D player. Able to defend both guard positions, Jrue Holiday is a tough defender who will make every single team he goes against every basket they make work.
With coach Thibs, Jrue Holiday could be an absolute monster.
That’s everything Thibs wants in a player and more. If the Knicks can trade for Holiday, they should. The Knicks are blessed with the eighth overall pick, yes it sure could have been higher, but it is what it is and they could potentially put that pick to good use.
In terms of players being swapped, Wayne Ellington and Bobby Portis aren’t good enough to strike a deal, but swapping places in the draft could bring about a deal between the two sides. As for young players entering the 2020 NBA Draft, this isn’t a deep draft.
