Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie is known for altering the Knicks and their fans since he arrived in Brooklyn.
Speaking at the NBA All-Star Festivities in February, Dinwiddie didn’t exactly think the future was bright for his team’s rivals.
“Do you want a real answer?” Dinwiddie said. “Probably not. They will probably have a high draft choice. Unless they do something through commerce or through free agency, which I don’t know if this free will class is that spectacular, they probably won’t be that good. We’ll see. I can tell the future. But more than likely, I mean Kevin Durant will be back [next season]. And he’s Kevin Durant. He’s really good. ”
He also took a shot at Knicks center Mitchell Robinson for his penchant for getting into trouble. Dinwiddie tweeted a picture of himself wearing a Robinson shirt, but said “I would have put them on a shoe, but I need you not to lead the league in fouls before I do.”
