Knicks, Payton Pritchard has fans in the New York front office

The New York Knicks may have found their potential playmaker of the future before the 2020 NBA draft.

According to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News, the Knicks are intrigued by Payton Pritchard of Oregon, who could be an option for the team with pick number 27 when the project kicks off Wednesday.

Pritchard was an All-American consensus first team last season after averaging 20.5 points, 5.5 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 31 games for the Ducks.

Jonathan Wasserman of Bleacher Report reported that interest in Pritchard across the league had grown by the end of October with some executives feeling he could participate in the first round. To that end, he teased Pritchard at the Los Angeles Lakers with the 28th pick, while ranking him the 32nd best available player overall.
