Knicks, optimism increases for Leon Rose’s first offseason

The New York Knicks are trying to build a new image, hoping to build around young stallions, RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson. General manager Leon Rose set up a brand new front office and his biggest hiring was coach Tom Thibodeau. The 62-year-old brings experience, grit and a hard-working attitude to a franchise that is in dire need of a cultural change.

As one of the few cap roomed teams this offseason, New York may be looking to take advantage of teams that are desperate for big deals. With fans unable to attend matches, the salary cap for the 2020-21 season could drop, putting further pressure on teams over the limit. The Knicks are going to be a big beneficiary of an unfortunate situation but one that will be openly welcomed.

Leon Rose’s first offseason could be a great season full of hope and optimism.
