Knicks, NY must hold Reggie Bullock

Of all the players with unsecured team options or contracts, Reggie Bullock is the most obvious case to be held in New York next season. His $ 4.2 million contract is extremely reasonable for a player who can offer veteran leadership, perimeter shooting and occasional defense.

New York could always dangle Bullock in business during the season. It gives the Knicks a low-cost veteran asset that they could sell to contending teams who might be willing to sell something of value if they’re desperate enough to add a “final piece”.

Depending on how much roof space the Knicks want to use to sign new players, absorb shoddy contracts, or acquire salary in the trade, they may need an extra $ 4.2 million to make their grand vision work. If so, obviously Bullock could turn into a victim of the cork. But for a team capable of creating over $ 40 million cap, that seems unlikely.
