Knicks, Leon Rose’s priority is to sign Josh Hart

Leon Rose is tasked with improving the Knicks roster. Before that, Rose has to re-sign trade deadline acquisition Josh Hart, who is sure to step out of his contract and reportedly wants to stay in New York. Hart could be looking for a deal worth at least $18 million a year, but by turning down Derrick Rose’s $15.6 million team option, it should be an easy negotiating process for the Knicks.

Once the former MVP’s salary is off the books and Hart agrees to a deal, New York can turn its attention to the commercial market.
