Knicks, Julius Randle: “We just have faith and conviction in us”

From the outside looking inside, the Knicks have exceeded most outside expectations up to this point in the season. With a record of 14-16, the Knicks are currently seventh seed in the Eastern Conference, placing themselves in first position to enter the All-Star Break in the playoff position.

But if you ask Julius Randle, as JJ Redick did on the most recent episode of his The Old Man & the Three podcasts, the Knicks have believed in themselves all year, and a lot of that has to do with Tom. Thibodeau’s leadership.

“I would say maybe we exceeded the expectations of others,” Randle told Redick. “I think if I had been around our group on a day to day basis, we just have faith and conviction in us, and it starts with Thibs and everything he is doing, but we do things the right way every day and building the right ones. Habits. So, we just have a belief and a belief in us every game we play that we will win the game.

“It might be at the beginning, but now it really surprises us when we win games.”
