Knicks, RJ Barrett admits New York is lucky with Covid-19

The Knicks feel lucky to have made 30 games in the NBA season before having one postponed due to the COVID-19 protocols.

Saturday’s home game against San Antonio became the first Knicks game to be dismissed when four Spurs players tested positive earlier this week.

“Fortunately, we were just lucky,” Knicks guard RJ Barrett said in a Zoom call on Friday after training. “We did the right things. We have a great staff, a great medical team. Of course, just by praying and hoping that we continue to stay that way.

“In terms of Saturday’s game, it gives us one more day of preparation for Minnesota.”
