Knicks: Jalen Brunson’s 50 piece against the Suns with a perfect three-point shot

There was a battle of stars in the Valley on Friday night when the New York Knicks took on the Phoenix Suns at Footprint Center. In the end, however, only one star shone brighter. And in a game featuring All-Stars Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Julius Randle, it was Jalen Brunson who stole the show by delivering the best game of his career for the Knicks in the 139-122 win over the Suns.

Brunson simply cannot be stopped; the game was still close in the fourth quarter, but that’s when the Knicks guard decided to take it upon himself to seal the win for the road team. He scored 16 points in the final frame on a perfect shot from the field (5-5 overall, 3-3 from deep), finishing with one eye – scoring 50 points on the night. In fact, he finished a perfect 9-9 from deep, too, which is pretty impressive.

The contract signed by the Knicks with Jalen Brunson is proving to be a real bargain. Brunson proved throughout the 2023 NBA Playoffs that he really could be the one, and this 50-point performance against the Suns is further proof of his sheer force to be reckoned with, whose efforts will have to be validated with his first-ever appearance in an All-Star game.
