This comes on top of a recent report by The Athletic which indicated the Knicks should emerge as suitors for the 26-year-old point guard. VanVleet is currently playing in the playoffs against the Boston Celtics. He may be the only player Leon Rose is willing to offer a long-term contract this off-season, as he retains the roof space for 2021, when several top players are expected to enter the open market.
