Knicks: Austin Rivers is becoming fundamental

From an aforementioned rotation of eight players, point guard Austin Rivers was instrumental. Rivers was particularly strong along the stretch, catching fire with a go-ahead triple at 4:16 in the fourth quarter and a subsequent jumper that brought the Knicks 101-96 on the next possession. Rivers caught fire from there, eventually scoring 14 straight points for the Knicks in the 48.2-second dagger – a return triple from 26 feet out. Rivers lost 23 points out of 9 out of 14, including 5 out of 7 out of three points, in 32 minutes off the bench.
