Knicks, aim to win the first overall choice in the 2020 NBA Draft

Even if this year’s draft doesn’t have a Zion or even a Ja Morant, if they are able to get a better choice, there are still the best players the Knicks would like.

The top three prospects this year are LaMelo Ball, Killian Hayes and Anthony Edwards. There are certainly other top candidates in this year’s draft as listed by The O‘Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor, but the players above are high on the list.

Of all the draw prospects the Knicks could select, Ball and Hayes (both point guards) must be the top two. Edwards is very intriguing, but the Knicks desperately need a starting point guard. Also, Edwards would be somewhat redundant with Barrett.

If the Knicks were to enlist Ball or Hayes, this would ease a lot of pain from losing Zion and Morant.

Like Zion, these two perspectives seem to have the ability to be high-level guards in the NBA.
