Joakim Noah is expected to retire following the release of Clippers

Joakim Noah may be ready to hang up his sneakers. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Los Angeles Clippers are ready to give up on the veteran big man, and his agent, Billy Duffy, says Noah is “probably headed for retirement” after the move.

Noah signed an unsecured two-year deal with the Clippers last season, days before the close of the pandemic. He only appeared in five games, averaging 2.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 10 minutes per game.

Prior to his time in Los Angeles, Noah had made stops with the New York Knicks and the Memphis Grizzlies, while his best years came with the Chicago Bulls. Twice All-Star and three-time All-Defensive, Noah has averaged 8.8 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks during his career.
