Jacob Toppin will not play for the Knicks in the 2023 Summer League

As the Knicks continue to assemble their 2023 Las Vegas Summer League roster, rookie Jacob Toppin will not be a part of it.

According to SNY NBA insider Ian Begley, Toppin — the recently traded younger brother of Obi Toppin — will not play in Vegas due to a minor injury.

A product of Kentucky, Toppin signed a two-way deal shortly after the 2023 NBA Draft. A 6-foot, 9, 206-pound forward, Toppin averaged 12.4 points and 6.8 rebounds for the Wildcats last season after transferring from the University of Rhode Island.

The Knicks will play five Summer League games in Las Vegas between July 7-17, starting on Saturday when they play the Philadelphia 76ers at 5 p.m.
