Ja Morant pays tribute to Derrick Rose

Ja Morant did his best Derrick Rose impression. Morant gave one of the two shirts he wore and autographed to Rose.

During the game, Morant had two brief moments against Derrick Rose, who played 11 minutes off the bench in his first game back after a toe injury.

Before Morant, Rose was Memphis’ most celebrated guard, leading the Tigers to a national championship game against eventual champion Kansas in 2008. A few months later, Rose was drafted No. 1 overall by his hometown team, the Chicago Bulls, which led to their most successful period in the post-Michael Jordan era, becoming the youngest NBA MVP in history at 22 along the way.

Morant is doing the same with Memphis, leading the Grizzlies to their most successful years.
