Isaiah Joe is a good potential for the Knicks

Isaiah Joe could easily prove to be the best shooter in the entire draft class.

First off, the 21-year-old attempted a ridiculous 10.6 three per game. For reference, James Harden was the only NBA player to take more than 10.6 shots from behind the arc last season. Joe also only attempted 3.3 field goals from two points per game, hitting those shots with a respectable 44.7%.

He was given the brightest green light imaginable and took full advantage of it, putting on three in transition, out of catch and shot opportunities and off the dribble. He also shot 89% on free throws, proving his shooting mechanics are legitimate.

A small role would almost certainly see a rise in percentages, especially if he managed to maintain his growing confidence. This is demonstrated in his freshman year, where he shot 41.2% from three out of a slightly reduced number of attempts.

With the future of Damyean Dotson and Wayne Ellington in the air as they are expected to reach free agency, the Knicks could seek more takes off the bench and label Joe as the best option available.

His defense and directing skills are still a work in progress, but he has the potential to be an excellent moving shooter with a gravity pull on defenses.
