The Knicks will likely continue to pursue potential Evan Fournier trades. But by trading Obi Toppin on Saturday, the Knicks no longer need to move a rotation player to make room for DiVincenzo.
Is there anything more important out there for the Knicks? James Harden and Damian Lillard are both available via trade. But as of late Saturday night, I don’t think New York aggressively went after either player. They talked to the Clippers about a potential trade for Paul George ahead of the draft. But Los Angeles reportedly would like to keep George and Kawhi Leonard together to play Harden if they are able to trade for him.
As things stand right now, it seems likely that the Knicks will enter next season with their 2022-23 roster mostly intact.
