Immanuel Quickley has become the most popular pick in the Knicks 2020 draft first round so far.
Quickley returned from a hip injury to score nine points in 15 fine minutes in a giant 106-102 win in Indiana on Saturday.
Quickley missed four consecutive games and returned to the crime scene on Saturday in Indy. Upon his return, Quickley executed the attack with rare rookie composure, committed fouls and hit his solitary 3-point run. But the 25th choice in the project still has some rust.
“I felt like I individually played well,” Quickley said via Zoom after filming Monday morning in Atlanta. “I could have played much better, especially in defense. But as a team I feel that we did pretty well, going back to where we lost. We made the adjustments, fixed the adjustments in the meetings and in the movie and things like that and we managed to win. So it’s important for our team”.
