Fred VanVleet the main focus of the Knicks in free agency

The NBA free agency will officially begin two days after the draft, with sanctioned negotiations starting on November 20 (though the tampering has likely been going on for months) and teams will be able to sign players on November 22.

This is a major offseason for the New York Knicks, who will be one of four teams with an actual space limit to spend in a lackluster free agent class.

Fred VanVleet should be the main focus of the Knicks. Check all the boxes. He can score, deliver, shoot, defend, he’s a winner, and he’s young enough to line up with the core of RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson’s team. He will cost between $ 20-25 million per year and New York will have to compete with Toronto, Detroit and possibly Atlanta or Phoenix. If the Knicks don’t enlist a point guard, it will be a sign that they are likely going for VanVleet.
