Rumors: New York Knicks Claim Jared Harper

The New York Knicks recently claimed the waived guard Jared Harper, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic. Auburn was previously a bilateral agreement with the Phoenix Suns.

The news revealed that the Suns were separating from Harper on March 12, the day the league was suspended, so the move was not formally made until the transaction window opened on June 23.

Harper has barely been used by the big league club of Phoenix this season, but has averaged 20.8 points in 33 games for the team’s G League affiliate.

Claiming Harper to give up, the Knicks will inherit his two-way affair, which means they will have to free up space for him by releasing two-way player Kadeem Allen.

The Knicks will not play again in 2019-2020, which means that Harper does not adapt to the team during the contract, but by claiming Harper in this way, the team will hold Harper’s rights when he hits the limited free agency.
