Tyrese Haliburton was mocked by fans for his performance against the New York Knicks on Friday. Once you look at his stats, it’s not hard to see why.
Haliburton laid a goose egg in his team’s 123-98 loss to the Knicks in front of a packed house at Madison Square Garden in New York City, N.Y. The Pacers star missed all eight of his field goal attempts. Seven of those were from behind the three-point line. Haliburton had a final stat line of one rebound, five assists and one steal without a single point.
X fans mocked Haliburton for his brutal performance against the Pacers’ biggest rival in the East.
After the Knicks’ embarrassing performance against the Boston Celtics on opening night, Tom Thibodeau’s team was much more aggressive on defense on Friday.
Haliburton’s scoreless outing was his first in a Pacers uniform. Knicks offseason acquisition Mikal Bridges stuck with Haliburton the entire game.
Haliburton turned villain in May when Indiana eliminated New York from the 2024 playoffs. The Pacers guard trashed Knicks fans as he did so.
