What will the New York Knicks do with Julius Randle in the 2024-25 season? The three-time All-Star has been a key member of the team for a few years, but the team has recently changed its identity without him.
This has led some to wonder what the future holds for Randle and the Knicks.
Speaking to Steve Aschburner, reportedly by Ian Begley, Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau revealed his plans for Randle in the new season.
“We could see Julius more at the five,” Thibodeau said.
He continued: “I don’t want to do it for long periods of time, that would be tiring, but to do it for 10 or 15 minutes, I think he can do it well. It would also create a lot of [offensive] advantages.”
Randle is built like a center and has played that position in the past, but he is usually more comfortable at power forward.
However, while the Knicks have a lot of stuff, they are running out of frontcourt talent and may need Randle to play center more often.
