Tom Thibodeau already watching Knicks game film as he anticipates job offer

Tom Thibodeau is said to be diligently going through New York Knicks game film as he awaits a job offer from the team.

The former Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves head coach is the top candidate to land the Knicks job, per reports. According to the New York Post‘s Marc Berman, who quotes an NBA source, Thibodeau has been preparing himself for the role and is already studying film.

Berman writes:

“Thibodeau, considered the leading candidate, is passing away the time poring over Knicks game film as he awaits a possible job offer, according to an NBA source…

“A decision probably will come next week as interviews have been completed, but owner James Dolan still must be consulted and sign off on it. It has been six weeks — and countless hours of interviews — since the Knicks began the search.”

While Tom Thibodeau is considered to be the coach most likely to land the job, former NBA star Jason Kidd was reported to have really impressed Knicks executives in his second interview. Kidd’s solid exchange probably hasn’t affected Thibs’ prospects all that significantly, but we can’t be so sure.
