The reasons why Thibodeau chose the Knicks

The New York Knicks appointed Tom Thibodeau in the franchise’s head coach vacant position. The veteran coach explained his decision to sign with the Knicks, revealing the three main reasons he chose to get the job.

The former Minnesota Timberwolves head coach has a long way to establish a winning culture for the franchise.

Evidently, Thibodeau could find the raw materials in the Knicks young core that it will be evaluated by the veteran coach.

“I want to get around the players to work with them and get to know them better. Based on film, I really think RJ has a very bright future as does Mitchell Robinson. Those are two who stand out. But we have a lot of young talent. I don’t like to make qualifications on people until I get around them,” Thibodeau said, per Marc Berman of the NY Post.
