The Knicks have come this far this season with great energy and outplaying their opponents.
While Jalen Brunson‘s near triple-double and playing the full 48 minutes helped the Knicks stave off elimination, a fourth-quarter defensive stop by Quentin Grimes may have sealed the game for New York.
With less than two minutes left in the game and the Knicks leading 107–101, Grimes hit his knee on a screen that forced him to the floor. When play resumed, Grimes stood up to protect Jimmy Butler, Miami’s star player.
Not only did Grimes defend, but he stole the ball from Butler and gave possession back to the Knicks.
