As the year ends, more eyes will turn to the Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo.
SNY’s Ian Begley suggested that the Knicks should be aggressive in trade negotiations if a player of the likes of Oladipo becomes available.
Orestis Rantis at HoopsHabit suggested a trade for the Knicks focused on Oladipo:
“Victor Oladipo has just suffered a serious injury. Pacers still have a number of solid pieces to build around, such as Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner and Malcolm Brogdon. Consequently, is it not wiser to exchange it while its commercial value is still high? “
Dennis Smith Jr. had a difficult ride. Last year’s changing scenario wasn’t given a substantial enough role to have a very big impact on a Knicks team that doesn’t inspire much confidence in the round. One could mark his uninteresting statistics this year on a role problem more than anything else.
Kevin Knox has taken a big step back in his second season, again, possibly due to a big cut in minutes. For 36 minutes his counting statistics are still behind.
All signs indicate that Oladipo has signed up with the team again and that he wanted to be in Indiana in the long run.
