The Knicks weren’t ready to include Mitchell Robinson in the Antohony Davis trade

Before his arrival at the Lakers, Anthony Davis had also attracted interest from other teams including the Knicks. Davis never made it to the Knicks and New York refused to include Mitchell Robinson in the possible trade. This may no longer be the case now that the franchise’s main decision maker, Leon Rose, hasn’t designed it, but under the previous front office regime, Robinson was in New York. Any potential trade involving Robinson will depend on who the Knicks could get – it might be surprising if Robinson wasn’t made available in an exchange for a player of the caliber of Karl-Anthony Towns.
