The Knicks trade Mitchell Robinson and Obi Toppin to the Suns

This offseason, the New York Knicks will look to build on the successes they had during the 2022-23 season by attempting to bolster their assortment of talent surrounding franchise mainstays Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle.

While there are some who believe that trading the latter should be a move worthy of consideration, Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley recently proposed a successful trade scenario to the Phoenix Suns which, in his eyes, could help Tom Thibodeau’s club retaining the All-NBA great along the way.

The trade offer reads as follows:

New York Knicks receive: Deandre Ayton and Landry Shamet

Phoenix Suns Receive: Mitchell Robinson, Obi Toppin, Quentin Grimes and Evan Fournier

Buckley would note in his proposal that considering the Suns would have to “aggressively explore” the trade market for former number one Deandre Ayton, while the center position may not be an area to address this offseason, they could take consider making a move for the youngster led by the attack.
