An NBA insider believes the New York Knicks will get the superstar player they hope to add to the team, unfortunately, it won’t be this summer.
In a chat with Sportsnaut, ESPN NBA insider Nick Fridell poured cold water on fans’ hopes for this summer, while also leaving them with a reason to dream big again.
“Patience is the Knicks’ summer strategy, and I know it’s something Knicks fans absolutely don’t want to hear, but that’s the reality of where they are. They just have to wait. I don’t see that difference maker coming this summer. They’ve done a great job of keeping their picks, holding back resources, [and] added Brunson.
“You would think in the fourth year under [coach Tom] Thibodeau, the groups will improve a little bit. Especially in defense. I believe the Knicks will be able to get the star they hope for in the future. I don’t think that will ever happen in the next year. Especially this non-summer”.
