According to Hoopshype’s Michael Scotto, the Knicks aren’t as high on Dejounte Murray as they were after acquiring OG Anunoby.
“I talked about the Knicks as another team that was chasing Murray. The situation has calmed down,” Scotto wrote on January 25. “New York currently believes the asking price for Murray is a little too high at this time. First-round picks, the expiring contracts of Evan Fournier and Quentin Grimes are one thing. That package got kicked. But that extra first-round pick Atlanta is seeking isn’t something New York feels like moving at this point.
After the resounding victory over the reigning NBA champion, the Knicks improved to 11-2 since the Anunoby trade.
