The Knicks’ guards showed off their skills on the court against the Magic’s top-notch defense

While all of the Knicks’ starters contributed consistently, Miles McBride was perhaps the brightest spot on the team. McBride scored 18 points on 5-7 shooting from outside and dished out four assists.

New York’s bench has struggled immensely in scoring this season, so it was refreshing to see their sixth man get going. He was confident in throwing the ball and taking the opportunities he was given.
The Knicks as a unit hit catch-and-shoot situations. Another bright spot for the franchise hoping to win a championship was Brunson. The Villanova product was assertive when he got into the paint, finishing runners with ease and using his aggressiveness to get to the line, where he made all four of his attempts. Mikal Bridges staying in form with 19 points on 8-13 shooting from the field was also encouraging.

All in all, New York executed well on offense and made Orlando’s defense look much worse than it is. They’ll look to carry that momentum into their next outing against the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday.
