The Knicks improved to 14-2 under Anunoby following a 105-93 loss to the Trail Blazers on the road.
Anunoby finished with 12 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals, but not after re-injuring his surgically repaired right elbow in the second quarter.
The Knicks survived when Anunoby returned to finish the game in the second half, playing 21 of his 36 minutes on the court.
Both Anunoby and Thibodeau ignored the incident.
“He’s just sore,” Anunoby told reporters, per Fred Katz of The Athletic . “Nothing really happened. I went to get a ball. And it hurt randomly, but that’s okay.
“There will be times when there will be pain,” Thibodeau told reporters, according to New York Basketball on X, formerly Twitter. “He played there.”
