The Knicks are among the “most realistic” landing spots for Bronny James

The seemingly inevitable draft selection of Bronny James is one of the NBA’s major storylines with the playoffs still in session. And the New York Knicks are among the discussed landing places for LeBron James’ son.

In an article for Bleacher Report, Andy Bailey ranked the landing spots for the 19-year-old ahead of the 2024 NBA Draft.

New York was third out of six. Partly because he fits the player archetype that coach Tom Thibodeau gravitates towards.

“In some ways, Bronny fits the profile of a Tom Thibodeau guard to a T,” Bailey wrote on May 24 . “At 6’1.5″, he is undersized. Despite being LeBron’s son, the number of fans and analysts betting against him makes him an underdog. Most importantly, he has the potential to become an NBA-level defender.”

James averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists in his lone season with the USC Trojans. He is considered an enigma before the draft, in terms of his ceiling and draft range.
