ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith made a shocking statement about Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker on First Take today after the Suns were swept by the Minnesota Timberwolves last night.
“Devin Booker wants to be in New York, that’s what I’ve been told,” Smith said. “(Booker) could deny it, I haven’t spoken to him. I’m just telling you, the word going around in NBA circles is that brother wants to be in New York.”
Booker had a career playoff high with 49 points in Phoenix’s 122-116 Game 4 loss last night to the Minnesota Timberwolves . Booker and his co-stars Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal will earn more than $150 million combined over the next two seasons.
“There are at least two people, probably three, who are all getting paid about $150 million total (and) they don’t want to be there,” Smith said.
